Called Community Coffeehouse, the venue houses homey performances that glorify God, and provides an intimate atmosphere that speaks to the soul.

“Most people don't think anything good is happening in New England when it comes to Christian music and/or events,” wrote Mark Weber as part of ChristianMusicMonthly.com, “so I'm happy to share with you that indeed there is an active, growing community of believers and musicians in that area – [Community Cofeehouse].”

Although the coffeehouse draws in talent that is not seen in the mainstream music scene, its guests are some of the best unsigned New England Christian artists.

For June 16, the venue’s organizers have invited soul and R&B songstress Traci Root to perform for the first time. She will open for the next act, Christ Wright, who has been at the site before and whose smooth, peaceful music has drawn comparisons to Steve Taylor.

“We love his music and humble heart,” wrote organizers on the Community Coffeehouse website. “It will be a special evening, please don't miss it.”

Admission to the event is free, as are most of the coffeehouse performances.

The program is affiliated with “Working Together with 1 Heart,” a group that keeps people up to date with Christian events happening in the Connecticut community.
